IamAidenCarter (Aiden Carter, b. June 13, 2004) is a versatile singer, rapper, songwriter, producer, and engineer from Regina, Saskatchewan. As the founder and driving force behind Avid Records, Aiden has built a professional studio and independent label from the ground up, turning a bedroom GarageBand setup into one of Regina’s fastest-growing creative hubs.

Aiden began making music seriously in 2022 using GarageBand. After upgrading to Logic Pro, his production and mixing skills advanced rapidly. In 2023, he officially launched Avid Records as both a recording studio and label. What started as a small operation quickly expanded, with a dozen regular clients and a growing roster of local artists. Aiden handles much of the in-house production, recording, mixing, and mastering for the label’s releases, including work for signed artists such as Doh-Ski, ACE SYRE (formerly Dreyspurpo), and Cleo Phaneuf.

As an artist, IamAidenCarter is proudly unpredictable and genre-fluid. His catalog moves seamlessly between melodic alternative/electronic-acoustic sounds, introspective singer-songwriter material, and gritty, hard-hitting rap. He has leaned more into rap in recent years due to the influence of his late best friend and collaborator Young Crow (Rowan Knopf), who helped shape the early vision for Avid Records before passing away in November 2023. The label’s first show in February 2024 at The Mercury was held as a charity event in Young Crow’s memory, with all proceeds going to his family — a powerful milestone that brought the entire roster together.

Recent releases showcase Aiden’s range and evolution: the rap-leaning singles “THE BASTARD” (2026), “DEFY” (2025), and “MAN DOWN” (feat. Alex Tha Rippa, 2025), alongside earlier projects like the Duality album (2024), and collaborations such as “Don’t Need No Bitch” with Doh-Ski and Alex Tha Rippa. He continues to experiment freely, refusing to be boxed into one sound while steadily improving his craft in the Avid Records studio.

Beyond his own music, Aiden is deeply committed to the Regina scene. He has signed and supported local talent, engineered for others, and fostered a collaborative environment that emphasizes community, growth, and authenticity.
